Just starting is great and all but I have to keep going and do this thing week after week. Then I’ll start getting somewhere. Or at least use some of the internet for something other than divisive rhetoric. Anyway! From my understanding of how things happen, which is not a very deep understanding, is a person needs a plan. A plan of attack, an escape plan, a business plan, a plan plan, a… well… you get it. I need a plan! With that in mind, I’ve been perusing my old pal, internet. This is what I’ve come up with so far...
For drawing, I found Stan Prokopenko. I like the cut of his jib. So, I’m going to set sail with his basic drawing course. It looks fun, informative and like a lot of hard work. That’s good! I’ll go through lessons every other day and on the off days, I’ll just draw and practice. For game development, I really enjoy the crew over at gamedevtv. They all seem really positive and have great accents. I’ll work my way through their Ultimate Unity 3D course. Now updated for Unity 6! I’ll alternate that course with making my very first game.
It’s a loose plan but it’s a start and from what I gathered from my last post, I just got to start. I’m excited and nervous at the same time. I’m excited to get things going and learn new skills. I’m nervous because even though I’m a beginner, I’m afraid of failing. But I just have to go right up to failure and grab it by its big fat head and say, “I’m no longer going to be a loser for you or for anybody!”. Then politely show failure a comfy spot on the couch as I get comfy with failure being a constant presence on the road to success.
Well, that's about all I have for right now. Sure, I could go on and on and on and on and on and... oh, sorry, but we all have things to do and I've got to get moving. Until next time!
